Helping our animals and the community.
Jaltemba Bay Animal Rescue, or JBAR, was established in 2003 by Lin Chimes of Los Ayala, Nayarit, Mexico. JBAR advocates humane and healthy practices for animals by promoting community health and education through free spay and neuter clinics. Part of improving the quality of life for the community involves caring for the many animals that are homeless. Through our organization we help to initiate and support adoptions, foster care and encourage positive relationships with animals and their owners. Although we do not have an animal shelter, we do have wonderful volunteers who open their hearts and their homes to dogs in need In addition, we work with veterinarians, and other adoption clinics internationally, to coordinate adoptions of Jaltemba Bay’s homeless animals.
JBAR’s effort has significantly improved the overall health and enjoyment of life on Jaltemba Bay for visitors, residents and also our four-legged friends. If you are interested in visiting Jaltemba Bay, please consider planning a trip during one of our free spay and neuter clinics to see first hand how much we really love our animals. Jaltemba Bay Animal Rescue is a volunteer organization that works through donations of our supporters. If you are interested in sponsoring our continued work in Jaltemba Bay, please visit our Donate page to learn more. 100% of your donation goes to help the animals.
Our November clinic was a huge success. Contact us to find out more about JBAR or volunteer at our next clinic in April 2017.
